Managing Anger: A Parent's Guide

For all parents

Why do we lose our tempers over some issues and not others? Can we really control our anger? And how can or should we? What are the underlying causes of anger? Join us for this seminar and learn the answers to these questions and more. Learn ways to change what you think, say, and do to express your concerns in more positive, effective ways. This seminar will also focus on how we can help our children learn coping strategies and techniques.

Course length: Three weeks

Raising Children to Be Resilient

For all parents

Learn how to help your child develop the strengths and skills to deal with life's challenges and to bounce back from adversities.

Course length: Four weeks

Backtalk: How Dare You Speak to Me That Way!

For parents of children ages 5-18

Wednesdays, March 3 and 10, 2010

Does your child speak to you in a disrespectful manner? Are you getting used to back talk because you hear it so often? Learn why children engage in disrespectful talk, as well as strategies for reducing back talk and building stronger relationships.
